Help Widows of India

A widow is a woman whose spouse or significant other has died, while a widower is a man whose spouse or significant other has died. The state of having lost one's spouse to death is termed widowhood or occasionally viduity. The adjective form is widowed. The treatment of widows around the world varies, but unequal benefits and treatment generally received by widows versus widowers globally has spurred an interest in the issue by human rights activists.

Orphan Children of India

All orphans are qualified through a stringent process of filling application forms for each orphan, followed by investigations done at neighborhoods and schools to ensure that all information about the orphans and their care-givers is correct. Various documents including the death certificate of the father, school admission records of the orphan, and national ID cards are acquired before completing the qualification process. . . .

Our Social Activities

Amrit Varsha is a non-profit organization that was started in New Delhi, India. It began with the goal of helping the poor and orphaned children of India who have nobody to help them. We were shocked by the living conditions of the people, especially the poor children on the streets. This experience made a profound and lasting impact on their lives. Amrit Varsha will fulfill its vision by empowering the poor and marginalized to demand their rights.
